Every year, our furniture giveaway gives hundreds of pieces of furniture to hundreds of incoming international students. Each student impacted represents an opportunity to share the love of Jesus. Through this ministry, many students have accepted Christ and have taken the gospel message to countries around the world.
Join our Furniture Round-up event to collect essential furniture and household items for donation!
Below are various volunteer opportunities you can sign up for.
1. Weekday Pickup Volunteer
- When: May 5, May 8, May 12, May 15 | 6 pm -8 pm
- Details: We have a job for everyone, regardless of whether you have a truck or can lift furniture. Sign up to be part of a pickup team. Light refreshments will be provided. Meet at SOCC back parking lot.
2. Saturday Pickup Volunteer
- When: May 17, June 7, June 28 (1 pm -4 pm), July 26 | 9 am – 12 noon
- Details: Help pick up furniture, drive a truck, or sort household items; we have a job for everyone.
FGA Event Week Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering for FGA Week( 17-23 August 2025) is now OPEN. We are looking for 400 volunteers to serve 500 students this year.
Volunteers are needed for various roles, including:
- Driving personal trucks/trailers with furniture* (most needed)
- Moving furniture* (most needed)
- Vehicles to transport students* (most needed)
- Guides (help students select furniture types)
- Guide data entry
- Escorting students
- Household goods team
- Kitchen Crew
- Other light duties.
